• Introduction, goals, tasks (1st week )
• Basic components of the map (2nd week)
• Bacis and additional map components (3rd week)
• Map composition and colors in the map (4th week)
• Text, labels in the map, cartographic symbols and their development (5th week)
• Scale, choropleth map, graphs in map (7th – 8th week)
• Map animations (9th week)
• Non-traditional cartograpgic methods – cartogram, flow map, etc. (10th – 11th week)
• Closing individual task (12th week)
• Presentation of creative maps (13th week)

Condition to pass

You need 17 – 33 points to get the credit. You can get the points for individual tasks as displeyed in the table below. You will make 4 maps and semestral project.

Each map can be returned for revisions only once and the range of points will be decreased of one point for this. Deadlines for your maps will be defined on the web as well as the deadline for revisions. To pass the seminar you need to successfully finish all four maps (get points) and semestral work. Send your maps in a raster format (jpg, png) or vector format (pdf).
