Thematic Map using database DATA200
Your task is to create a thematic map of your selected district (okres) (with an overlap of 5 kilometres beyond internal borders) at a scale of 1: 200,000. The ČÚZK Data200 product will serve as a data source. The entire geographical database contains 47 types of objects and is structured into 8 thematic layers – administrative boundaries, water, transport, settlements, geographical names, various objects, vegetation and surface, elevation. Your task is not to create a general map, but a thematic one, and therefore it is necessary to choose a suitable topic (transport or water) and create a map to focus on this topic, such as more detailed objects classified into separate classes. The individual classifications are entirely up to you.
Choose a suitable format of the map sheet, name the map appropriately, according to the thematic content of individual geographical layers and add all mandatory and optional components of the map. Be inspired and follow principles, which we have been said so far during lectures. The selected thematic or other layers will be labelled using labels stored in the attribute tables. Also, display the shaded relief in a suitable way.
Not every district needs to contain all objects. You export the resulting map in 300 DPI to png format and upload it into the shared folder (MS Teams).
